An exhibition of variable type.
One licensed variable font, five real axes. Drag the pad, click the letter — every glyph on this page is live type, not a picture of type.

One specimen, three compositions.
The word you just edited is recomposed as you scroll — a compact headline, an editorial paragraph, a poster. Weight, width, optical size and spacing change for real.
Compact — dark stems and a narrow cut read from across the room.

Make a poster.
Set a short title, pick one of three authored grids, tune the same axes and choose a palette. The grid always holds — even long words and punctuation.
Export embeds the licensed font, so the file looks right on any machine.
Title
Up to 60 characters. An empty title falls back to a quiet placeholder; long words break across lines instead of breaking the grid.
Grid
Three authored Swiss-style grids. Each reserves a margin, a measure and a place for the type to land.
Axes
Every slider moves a real axis of Roboto Flex — no stretching, no faking, no simulated width.
Palette
Four palettes built from the exhibition colors: vivid orange, warm white, black.

How to read this exhibition.
- Variable fonts store many designs in one file. Axes like weight and width are dials, not separate fonts.
- Weight (wght) controls stem darkness from 100 to 1000. Width (wdth) squeezes or expands every glyph from 25 to 150.
- Optical size (opsz) retunes letterforms for the size they are shown at — open and loose when small, tight and crisp when large.
- Grade (GRAD) sets glyph density from −200 to 150 without touching width; slant (slnt) leans the uprights from 0 to −10 degrees.
- Every specimen on this page is live type set by your browser. There is no photography and no imagery here — only rules and glyphs.
